10 Ways to Accessorize With Rings

Do you love accessorizing with rings? Are you looking for new ways to style your favorite pieces? Rings are a great way to accessorize any outfit and create unique looks. We’ve put together 10 of our favorite ways to accessorize with rings to help you find the perfect style. From stacking to mixing metals, we’ll show you how to make the most of your accessories. Let’s get started!

We all love to accessorize. Some of us choose to have necklaces or chains to do this, some earrings, some bracelets, and the rest of us probably consider rings as a unique accessory for our outfits. Whatever you choose, we need to remember that rings are here to stay. How you choose to wear them and for what occasion is what is key. Here is a list of 10 ways that you can accessorize with rings.

1. You can choose to layer them, or keep it simple

Depending on the occasion, you can choose to either layer your rings or keep it plain and simple. If you work in a corporate environment you might want to consider having a simple ring on your finger that will match your other accessories, such as your earrings. However, if you are in a fashion or art industry, then layering your rings can give you a very interesting look. Be careful with the layering though, be sure to pair smaller rings with bigger ones, for that special look.

2. Have a statement ring

You can choose to have one ring with a special design or symbol that will make a statement for you. It can be big or small, depending on your preference, and you don’t have to pair it with anything else.

3. Try not to match too much

You do not have to match EVERYTHING. Your ring does not have to match your earrings, necklace, bracelet and outfit. This will probably only end up making you look confused rather than stylish. Break up the pattern with a different type of ring, or do away with some of the other accessories.

4. Do not combine a cheap and an expensive ring on the same hand

If you purchased an expensive ring and find another that you like that may not be equal in quality as the one you already have, go ahead and buy it, just don’t wear both of them on the same hand! It will be very easy for others to spot the difference, and only confuse people as to what statement you are trying to make!

5. Balance the size of your ring with the other accessories

Do not wear a very large ring if you are wearing a small chain, small earrings, and a small bracelet. The ring will overtake all the other accessories that you are wearing. Also consider the size of your hand and let the ring match with the size of your fingers.

6. Spend on a classic ring

One classic ring would be enough for all your outfits if you choose right!

7. Comfort is key

This is always an important factor. You need your blood circulation. You want to be able to shake hands with other people. How can you achieve this if you are wearing a very big or a very tight ring?

8. Know which ring to wear where

There is a dress code for every occasion. Similarly, you must know what ring to wear and when. If you walk into an office with a big metallic ring in the shape of a butterfly or skull because you consider yourself a playful and open employee, your intention might not be taken well. Also, if you are to wear a cheap plastic ring with a very expensive gown to a cocktail dinner, again, you would send a very bad message to everyone. So be wise!

9. Stick to one metal

Just like for all other accessories, stick to one type of metal. Do not mix gold and silver rings, or silver rings with gold chains or earrings. Decide on one and stick with it!

10. Do not wear your wedding ring together with patterned rings

If you are always wearing your wedding ring, then you may want to consider not wearing any other rings. You do not want to mix your wedding ring with a huge patterned ring just because you have to attend a casual event or for any reason.
