Canada Day is just around the corner for my fellow
Canadians and I and what a fantastic way to show the roots you came from
than by proudly wearing this awesome/funny necklace!
On the
outside of the bottle is a hand sculpted red maple leaf symbolizing our
flag, no molds were used. I then varnished it to give off a nice shine.
On
the inside of the bottle is the best part, it is a parody/speech that
was and still is circulating on youtube and it was also part of a beer
commercial. The entire speech of " I am Canadian" printed on a rolled up
scroll of paper. It reads:
"Hey,
I'm not a lumberjack, or a fur trader....
I don't live in an igloo or eat blubber, or own a dogsled....
and I don't know Jimmy, Sally or Suzy from Canada,
although I'm certain they're really really nice.
I have a Prime Minister, not a president.
I speak English and French, not American.
And I pronounce it 'about', not 'a boot'.
I can proudly sew my country's flag on my backpack.
I believe in peace keeping, not policing,
diversity, not assimilation,
and that the beaver is a truly proud and noble animal.
A toque is a hat, a chesterfield is a couch,
and it is pronounced 'zed' not 'zee', 'zed' !!!!

It is rolled up and held by a clear elastic and tucked inside the bottle.
The
cork at the top is not glued down, so you may pull out your scroll at
anytime and read it and make your friends laugh, for those who haven't
heard the speech yet :)
The necklace hangs from a 18'' cable
style silver plated chain, held on by a jump ring that is tied to a
twine rope wrapped several times around the neck of the bottle and
knotted firmly.
This item comes in a gift box and is bubble wrapped for extra precaution.
