Material:
buttons, metal components, metal screen, light bulb
Our steampunk praying mantis sculpture, made with metal parts and assorted pieces, surprisingly resembles the real thing! Standing on four brass legs, with a head made of metal components, buttons and brass hardware, our metal praying mantis sculpture is full of character. A light bulb serves as the mantis' thorax, and metal screen is shaped to create his wings. Shipped as two separate pieces, the praying mantis can swivel where the abdomen and thorax meet, to bring out this little guy's big personality. Standing about six (6) inches high at the head, four (4) at the legs, and measuring 14 inches long, our praying mantis is our biggest "Book Bug".
"The praying Mantis with its length of straw
Out of nowhere's forehead born full armed
Engaged the century at my terrace door."
-Oscar Wilde
