Summer is the perfect time to express your personal style, and to really make a statement with your fashion choices. Whether you're looking for a romantic getaway or just want to enjoy a few days of sunshine, the right outfit can make the experience even more special. In this blog post, we'll show you some of our favorite fashion trends for summer romance, so you can look your best and make the most out of your summer days. From sweet floral dresses to flirty rompers and light airy fabrics, we have all the looks you need to make your summer romance bloom.

Congrats, everybody- we have almost officially made it to summer! It's time to ditch the school bag (or maybe call in sick to work) for a relaxing, fun day off. What better way to enjoy the sunshine than going on a date with your significant other or best friend?

No matter where you're headed off to on your summer date, we're here to keep you cool, calm, and collected with the cutest outfits ever.

Bring Your Own Basket: Beach Picnic Date

Summer Date Idea - Picnic at the Beach. Wear comfy clothing that can disguise a swimsuit.

The beach + food= perfection, right? For a fun beach picnic date, pack your basket and find a quiet spot on the coast. (Beaches that allow camping often have quiet locations for privacy)

You'll want to wear lightweight fabrics and comfortable silhouettes that are perfect for layering a swimsuit underneath. Try wearing a relaxed- fit tee or crop top with soft jogger pants and strappy sandals for a look that is both comfy and chic. Introduce some accessories into your outfit with a floppy- brimmed hat and sunglasses to protect your eyes, simple metallic bangle bracelets, and a dainty necklace. Last but not least, don't forget the sunscreen!

Not Playing Games: Cute Carnival Date Outfits

Summer fairs and carnivals are a unique date idea. Go cute and comfy for your ensemble.Style Scrapbook

The best things about carnivals are the games, rides, food, and the company you're with. You'll want to keep away from wearing one of your cute slip dresses at the carnival or fair if you plan to go on rides- nobody wants the stress of preventing a short skirt from too much! For a great alternative, venture out of basic staples and go for a pair of overall shorts. Layer a patterned tank top or t-shirt underneath your overalls to add some interest and spice up your outfit. Manage your accessories to with a minimalist style- the worst thing about carnivals is when you lose your favorite pair of earrings, or necklace that your Great Aunt Judy gave you, on the Scrambler. Pick out an awesome bag to keep any necessities (wallet, phone, etc.) in. Choose a small backpack or crossbody bag to avoid any mishaps.

Music Festivals: A Date to Remember

Concerts and festivals are the perfect summer date for music lovers! Keep your style cool for the heat with a rock and roll edge.Pinterest

If you're lucky enough to have a significant other that can afford Coachella tickets, we're happy for you. For any concert or music festival outfit, it's all about having fun and dancing to your favorite music. Since you'll be moving around quite a lot, it's key to wear pieces that aren't restricting and are still true to your style. Add an edgy flair to your basic maxi by wearing a cutout maxi dress. Layer on accessories like leather cuff bracelets, beaded necklaces, statement rocker rings, and chain belts. If you are attending an outdoors concert, be sure to remember the your festival necessities like a hat or sunglasses to keep your favorite band members in clear view (yes, our priorities are straight).

It's a Walk in the Park: Casual Date Wear

Be stylish but practical when selecting an outfit to wear on a date to the park.

While a walk in the park can be romantic, it can also be humid, sweaty, and generally unpleasant if you're wearing the wrong thing. Ditch the heels and keep it casual for your date in the park with a simple printed tee or blouse, distressed jeans or cutoff shorts, and a baseball cap. Make sure the shoes you wear are made for walking- ankle booties, sandals with some support, and sneakers will be your best bet.

Keep it Cool: Pool Party Outfit

Pool party attire needs a cute flair when you are attending with a date.

While all you really need for a pool party is your sexy swimsuit and towel; a coverup is always a great idea. Leave all of your accessories behind (besides your sunglasses, hat, and a hair- tie) and simply layer on a sheer coverup dress over a colorful bikini. Not only will you look cute, but a coverup will prevent you from getting sunburn. Another plus: if your date asks if you want to grab pizza afterwards, you'll actually be prepared to sit down for dinner at any restaurant without being stared at.
