This necklace was inspired by vintage and the more modern versions of the swallow bird tattoos that adorn people's skin, myself included :)
A great summer accessory to pair with jeans and tank or a cute summer dress.
This swallow was entirely hand sculpted without the use of any molds. It's tail curves up and inwards for a fun and graceful look.
It measures about 2'' wide and 2'' tall. It was fabricated with colored clay and then I painted on the eye and shaded with several washes of pain to give it depth.
A couple of coats of varnish were then added for sheen and protection.
On either side you will find a single Swarovski crystal in a gorgeous deep sapphire color with a iridescent coating to them ( think oil spill in a puddle of water ), very pretty :)
The swallow is set in the middle of a 18'' cable style, silver plated chain with a spring ring closure.
This item comes in a pretty gift box and is bubble wrapped for extra precaution.
