I always thought the Peacock is one of earth's most beautiful birds, arrogant looking in the way is struts around but still you can't draw your eyes away from all that gorgeous mix of color! So many people make beautiful earrings and such from this bird's feathers and who can blame them :)
I've created my own version of this beautiful bird ( no feathers or birds were harmed in the making of this piece :P ) This would make a nice statement to go with that summer dress or even casual wear, simple and sophisticated :)
This peacock is hand sculpted from clay, each feather laid down one by one and carved with tools to make them look realistic.
The feathers were then brushed with pigments and gold paint, they give off a beautiful multicolor effect when moved around. Different shades of blues and greens were used to give off that three dimensional effect and then I glazed it to protect it's brilliant colors.
The bird stands at about 2 inches tall from tip to tail.
Above it's head are three genuine Swarovski crystals in shades matching the peacock ( think of car oil spilled in a puddle of water, this would be the best way to describe the color of these crystals.)
The pendant comes with a 18'' cable style silver plated chain with spring ring closure.
There are also matching earrings that come with this necklace, each earring has three matching crystals, hung on some ear wires.
This item comes with a gift box ready for gift giving if you choose to do so and is bubble wrapped for extra shipping precautions.
