Measuring your feet at home

Two measurements are all we need: length sets your size, ball girth sets your width.

Foot length: measure from heel to your longest toe

Foot girth: wrap the tape around the ball of your foot

Stand with your weight on the foot, shin straight above your ankle so it sits at 90°. Leaning forward makes the foot read longer and throws off the size, so it helps to have someone measure while you stand.
Measure length. Put your heel against a wall, mark your longest toe on a sheet of paper, then measure from the wall to the mark.
Measure girth. Wrap a soft tape around the widest part of your foot, the ball, and read where it meets.
Do both feet. They often differ a little; if yours do, tell us both and we build each shoe to its own foot.

Wrap a soft tape all the way around the widest part of your foot (the ball), so it meets itself. That circumference is what sets your width.

Yes. We make shoes for both wider and narrower feet. Send us your measurements and we'll build your pair to your width and fit.
We highly recommend measuring. It takes about 5 minutes with our guided Get My Fit tool, and 99% of customers who submit their measurements get the right fit on the first try.
We build to your actual foot length and girth and can account for differences between your left and right foot. If you prefer to order by size, our shoes follow the standard US Brannock scale. You can still submit measurements after ordering so we can fine-tune your fit before production.
