"Truth can never be told so as to be understood and not be believed"- William Blake
Presented
before you is the inseparable line between my life and my art. With
everything herein, the philosophy I ask the viewer to adopt is one of
accepting no conclusion, looking deeper, and seeing what can be found
from each piece of art within this website. It is the essence of what
"Know No Truth" means. No matter how hard you look, there is always more
detail, and accepting something as a final truth very often kills that
exploration.
Although some of my work may
seem dark, I ask the viewers to look beyond the superficial first
impressions, past what may seem morbid, and see what they find. The aim
with my work is not to embrace darkness, but light through
confrontational courage, and a healthy dose of black humor. I believe
the light is at the end of the tunnel, not the beginning. At times the
tunnel is pitch black, a desired path may be difficult, ingrained
perceptions make you believe you can never be the person you want to be,
but we overcome these things.
Rethink. Reevaluate. Realize. Know No Truth.
