A Trend That Is Here To Stay In 2017 (Hint: It Works Wonders For Your Waist)

It's no secret that 2017 is the year of healthy living. We are all trying to find ways to lead healthier lifestyles and feel our best. One trend that is here to stay this year is waist training. Waist training has become increasingly popular and works wonders for your waist. This article will provide an overview of waist training, including its benefits and how to incorporate it into your routine.

2017 (and always) is the year to embrace body positivity! One of my favorite ways to get in a positive mindset about any body insecurities is to dress in a cute outfit that shows off my shape.

After a long winter of wearing oversized sweaters (which I love), I've gotten into a wardrobe rut. So, naturally, I went shopping to get some more form- fitting clothes. One trend that I'm all for is corsets (and bodysuits) that hug your shape and flatter your body!

Business-casual With Corsets

I mean, can we talk about this outfit? Luanna Perez (Le Happy) is one of my all- time favorite bloggers because of her flawless ability to combine edgy and feminine pieces.

For a flirty take on business- casual wear, try sporting a corset top with high- waisted jeans and a blazer. This outfit can take you anywhere from day time to date night, and you can dress it up or down with different shoes. Focus on incorporating some more color or patterns within your outfit pieces (like the plaid blazer) to add more visual interest! Add a belt to your high- waisted jeans for an extra- accentuated waist.

Pair a Shirt Dress With a Chunky Belt

A super simple way to flatter your waist is to add a chunky belt to a shirt or dress. This wrap belt resembles an underbust corset, but is perfect if you want something less restricting.

The best thing about belts is that they go with pretty much any outfit- and who doesn't love versatility? Be set for the office by wearing one tied around a simple shirt- dress and paired with heels.

Add Shape With a Corset Belt

A corset belt: like a belt, but more badass. You may have seen these belts around your favorite stores lately- it's because they're one of the biggest trends for the whole year! I especially love corset belts tied around a t-shirt dress- it's effortless, but makes your body look amazing!

Take after blogger Sonvas and pair this outfit with booties and a baseball cap for the perfect balance between casual and chic.

Rock a Bralette Corset for Extra Glam

Bralette corsets are another must- have for 2017. You can wear one by itself (hello, music festival outfit) or wear it over a blouse to take your workwear to the next level.

If you plan on wearing a bralette corset by itself, pair it with a high- waisted pant or skirt for an hourglass silhouette.

Layer Up With Sweaters and Corsets

Reinvent your winter wardrobe by layering a corset over your best turtleneck sweater! This top combination looks amazing with a peacoat thrown on top, and sleek dress pants.

Wearing a corset over a sweater will keep you warm for the remaining wintery weeks, but still give you an ultra- feminine figure. The best of both worlds!

Go Bold With a Plunge Corset

For a night out (or if you're just really feeling yourself), try a plunge corset or a peplum top with a pencil skirt! Wearing your hair up with deep- cut or plunge corsets is a great way to show off your shoulders. Go for minimal accessories, like some stacked rings or simple earrings to really let your outfit shine.
